Post January Blues
I'm not sure about you, but my New Years resolutions flopped two weeks in. Today has been a milestone, i lost my passoport a while ago and decided i'd finally get off my ass and do something about it. I now have six weeks until it arrives and then I'll be travelling home Eire. I haven't been ther in 5 years so knowing my luck a lot of things have changed.
I think the death of Lemmy and David Bowie shocked the whole rock community. It certainly had a knock on effect on me. I published an article for ShoveIt Magazine on Bowie's death and how he himself had influenced me as an adolscent and two of my favourite artists.
Before the beginning of 2016 i had quit smoking, i was purely doing nothing but vaping. (Clearly my partner had been a good influence for a fixed amount of time until the stress had kicked in!) It is also the same time i decided it was time to look for a new challenge - a new job. I love the company work for, well theres a tumultous love/ hate relationship but after two years i think its time for something new. The job has outlasted some of my relationships which is borderline ironic and depressing.
Took up smoking again although i had spent a small fortune on vaping accessories - mainly tanks and liquids. These cravings would usually rear it's ugly head when i had ran out of batteries or i was on the verge of spontaneously combusting with anger.... I realised very early on that i was attracted to the awkward yet classy flavours - Simple Vapes and their collection of Rose, Elderflower and Pear, and the classic G&T. I think i've come to the realisation that i'll probably quit if i start sub ohming which im too lazy to do because come on, who has time to make coils and change cotton? Totally not technical with this type of stuff.
My plans for 2016 consist of actively keeping this blog running because ive just bought the doman for two years and spent £111 quid on the yearly subscription. Continuing with my novel, the plan is to try and get is published by the time im 28 (trying to be realistic.)
